What JumunCheck is
JumunCheck is a travel companion for ordering at restaurants abroad. Take a photo of a menu and JumunCheck reads it, translates the dishes into your language, shows prices with local tax and service-charge rules, flags allergen labels, and helps you show your order to the staff.
1. Set up your food profile
Choose your diet, allergies, dislikes, spice limit, portion and budget. Your profile stays on your phone. Dishes with your allergens are removed from your suggestions — but always confirm with the staff.
2. Scan a menu
Tap Scan and take or pick up to 4 photos of the menu. If the photo has no readable text, nothing is sent. Otherwise the photos are read by AI (a daily scan limit applies). Photograph the menu only — not people.
3. Read the result
See each dish in your language with its price, a short comparison to a familiar dish, and allergen labels. If JumunCheck is not sure which restaurant you are in, it may ask "Is this the restaurant?".
4. Make an order card
Pick dishes and quantities and show the order card to the staff. Totals are estimates — the restaurant's bill is what counts.
5. Meal record
After ordering, add food photos and rate your picks (good pick / not for me, spice). Ratings only tune your next suggestions; your allergies and diet never change. Meal records stay on your phone.
6. Places and Guide
Browse restaurants on the map in Places and read country food guides in Guide. Turn on Me → Use my location (city-level only) to see nearby places.
7. Your settings in Me
- Share menu photos — on by default; photos with people are never kept, and kept photos are deleted within 90 days.
- Use my location — off by default.
- Reading — text size, high contrast, read aloud.
- Delete all local data / Delete account.
For reference only. AI reading, translation and allergen labels can be wrong. If you have an allergy or dietary requirement, confirm ingredients with the restaurant before you order.
