These app-scoped terms supplement the ecosystem-wide NodajiFi Terms of Service. Where the two differ for JumunCheck, this page prevails.
1. The service
JumunCheck reads restaurant menus from your photos with AI, translates dish names, shows prices with local tax and service-charge rules, flags allergen labels, suggests dishes that fit your food profile, helps you show an order card to staff, and offers country food guides and a restaurant map.
2. AI results are for reference only — please confirm with the restaurant
Important. Menu reading, translation, prices, totals, tax and service-charge calculations, dish matches, and allergen labels are produced automatically (AI and rules) and can be wrong or incomplete. A dish that is not flagged may still contain an allergen, and ingredients or recipes can change.
- JumunCheck is not medical, dietary, or food-safety advice and does not guarantee that any dish is safe for you.
- If you have a food allergy, intolerance, or dietary or religious requirement, you remain responsible for confirming ingredients directly with the restaurant staff before ordering and eating.
- Prices and totals are estimates; the amount the restaurant charges is the one that applies.
- Restaurant information (including from Google Places) may be outdated; check opening hours and details yourself.
3. Accounts and eligibility
Your sign-in is a single NodajiFi ecosystem account shared by all our apps. JumunCheck is available only to users aged 16 or older. Sign-in is passwordless (email magic link or phone OTP), or you may start as a guest; no social login is offered. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in channel (email / phone) secure.
4. Your photos and content
- Photograph menus only. Do not photograph people, and do not upload content you have no right to share.
- Menu photos are processed as described in the JumunCheck Privacy Policy. If "Share menu photos" is on, you allow us to keep a reduced copy of photos without people for at most 90 days and to use the menu text and prices from your scans, without your identity, to build anonymous restaurant menu information shown to other users.
- Your photos remain yours; you grant us only the license needed to operate the service.
5. Fair use
- Daily limits apply to AI scans and restaurant searches.
- No automated or bulk use, scraping, or attempts to bypass limits.
- No unlawful, infringing, hateful, or age-inappropriate content or conduct.
- No attempts to probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service.
6. Third-party services
Menu reading uses third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude); restaurant search uses Google Places; maps use MapTiler or OpenStreetMap. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" within the scope permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of AI results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the past 12 months — which, for this free service, is typically zero; statutory rights that cannot be limited (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where the law does not allow exclusion) are unaffected.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. You may delete your account at any time — see Delete Your Account.
9. Changes
We give in-app notice at least 7 days before changes take effect (at least 30 days for material changes adverse to users).
10. Governing law and contact
